SUPPOrT US

CRC Life's goal is to work with local partners to promote and support the adoption of policies, programs, and practices to increase CRC screening rates and promote high‐quality screening services at the community level. Working with employers and professional medical organizations can be an efficient way to reach large numbers of people who may need better access to CRC screening.

People are living longer after a cancer diagnosis. As experienced survivors and caregivers, CRC Life is looking to partner help survivors, along with the people in their lives, throughout their cancer experience.

Cancer survivors often face physical, emotional, social, and financial challenges as a result of their cancer diagnosis and treatment. Survivors are at risk of recurrence of their first cancer and are at greater risk of developing other cancers and other health conditions.

Factors that increase these risks for survivors include—

• The immediate and long-term effects of cancer and its treatment.
• Obesity and unhealthy behaviors, such as smoking and lack of physical activity.
• Genetic mutations (changes).

Survivorship and quality-of-life issues, such as the coordination of care, patient-provider communication, health promotion, support services, fertility preservation, and health inequities.  Local resources are always our first answer.
